When connecting heaven and earth we remain in flow. All energy is released, nothing can be held on to otherwise no coupling is possible via our channel. Thought becomes entirely transparent, observed and instantly let go of. No names, labels, or evaluations are produced. Awareness is of the entire organism and all its most minute components. This is a paradoxical awareness, mirrored by an emphasis on the top and bottom of the spine where the energies flow out and in unimpeded by thought or tension.  Keeping our awareness everywhere and nowhere all at once we become thoughtless channels of pure divine energy,  earthly and heavenly in nature.  We are the bridge, the CONNECTION, this is our responsibility and can only be acheived thru enjoyment in the process of it in entirety. 

The great importance of freedom is linked to observation.  In order to truly observe we must be free.  This necessitates a giving up of the self ,a disappearance from awareness and a full embrace of quiet, empty non-existance. Only when we become invisible can we see.  All the trappings of existance such as meaning, purpose, or personality merge with the ocean of love and it all becomes simple.  There is no one or the other separation is an illusion we are a globular cluster of bliss and knowing, a meaningless gathering of God's greatness. HALLELUJAH!!!

What Composes our being as humans? And of these components what has the most importance, relevance, or bearing on our life?  Externally we are visible,audible, and tangible as our bodies and their voices, smells, & tastes. Our psyche on the conscious level identifies with this body and its sensory perception. Some people have professed to believe that this is all there is to experience. Of course there is undoubtably more to it.
For untold thousands of years humans have been in this present form that we experience today. Yet many experts believe that it was only several thousand years ago that we really began to develop technology, and sophisticated culture. In my approximation this hyopothesis is illogical, and unobservant.  There is too much substance to what remnants of ancient culture have survived the passage of time.  The richness of these cultures of long ago attest to an inner esoteric knowledge of our being, unparalleled in our times.  Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda, Egyptian, and Greek texts on well-being and vitality, as well as innumerable more obscure healing traditions the world over all point to the concept that this body of ours includes an energetic component that the physical aspect is constructed upon.  This knowledge has been around who knows how long and we are unaware of most of our history as a species, so what grounds can we question it on? Check the records, our histories don't go back far enough.  It is because there is very little objective proof that can be shown outside of ourselves to the population at large as to the existance of the fundamental body that it can be denied in so widespread a fashion by the intelligensia.  I end today with this, if you have not observed these bodies at work in your life don't be so sure that they dont existwhen we all know science cannot measure or quantify their existence.

We work everyday for ideas and concepts- mainly our beliefs, what we get out of our work has everything to do with our beliefs.  Whether we believe what we are doing is the right thing for us and the community, or that we do our work the correct way.  What we do must be aligned with our value system and we must be able to play at it , to create in the process of working or as Hafiz says in his poem "A HardDecree"-
                                                                         Last Night..God posted on the tavern wall... A    hard decree for all love"s inmates    Which read:      If your heart cannot find a joyful work       The jaws of this world      Will probably          grab hold     of your    sweet ass....    

And that says it all.  What can we do to turn everybody's work into a playful contemplation?  I know in my heart that it is my responsibility to account for all dysfunction.  Not by denying it and attacking it but by loving it and showing compassion,  choosing this in our lives spreads joy and love like no other technique and gives strength to all we love and all we are unaware of loving.

It is necessary to face our fears, and know them so well that we eventually free ourselves from them.  The fear may never go away for some of us, however our comfort level surrounding that fear will indefinetly increase, thus the fear loses its power.  Iam not advocating seeking out dangerous things to confront, no that may cost you your life which is much too precious to play with.  Some do chase danger in order to release themselves from the prison that fear creates,  this sounds very exciting and I'm sure it is.  The safest way in my humble opinion is through vulnerability and honesty with ourselves.  The scariest things for most of us are usually generated in our minds and can be associated with ordinary life.  For example:  what others think, financial ruin, being cast away by loved ones, getting sick and dying, etc.  I am surely dealing with the fear of financial ruin at this time in my life and it can be hell at times. When I buy in to my fear the rollercoster begins and I begin heaping all the awful scenarios onto my plate and devouring them.  This makes me queasy... Iam sick and tired of being sick and tired and I am now creating the willingness to let go, digest my fears, and move forward in life with purpose.  It is just too great of an opportunity to pass up and I take full resposibility for my feelings.

Recently a friend of mine who will remain nameless said that my surname could be taken to be alluding to "porno".  So my first reaction was what the #$%!%!!, I really don't like the idea of coming across in this way and I was making myself upset that people go there.  And really if you contemplate it everything is sexual with sexual connotations. As I learn over the course of my life the blurrier divisions between things become and so I am no longer upset about it, you can take my name to mean whatever meaning you find for it inside yourself. For the sake of edification "pono" is a hawaiian word and here is the definition:

PONO: goodness, righteousness, moral quality, virtuous, beneficial, necessary, synchronistic, in perfect order. 

Glory to The Light Within
